Have you ever dreamed you were flying? If so, you know how exciting that type of dream can be. High School Principal Nick Townsend had those dreams regularly, and he used to enjoy them.

But in late 2012, after losing another battle against the mighty tequila demon, he awakens the next morning remembering a dream of an elementary school shooting in progress. When he sees the details from his dream on the news, he knows that he’s been given a gift (curse?) and the next time he drinks and dreams, he enlists his best friend to help him stop a shooting in Arkansas.

After the horrific events last year in Newtown CT, I became obsessed with a story idea where a High School principal receives a special “gift”  that allows him to know, in advance, when a school shooting is going to happen.    As is the case for writers like myself, these story ideas can only be purged from our brains with furious typing, editing, rewriting.    What would my main character do if he had this “gift”?   — 

Could he stop these shootings?    What could cause these visions ?   What would he risk to save children?         (click here to read a sample)

My story only makes a brief mention of the Sandy Hook incident,  I didn’t feel that it was prudent to make any actual shooting a part of the novel, so all of the incidents in the book are fiction.  The story, however, is very current and  plays out over the spring and summer of 2013.  I hope you’ll grab a copy and that you enjoy the story.       Here are some brief details  (more info at Amazon, of course)
