CONTEST BADGE SEMI FINALIST_smaller

2012-finalist

“Debut novelist Andy Holloman speeds us on a journey with punch, twist, and emotional dilemmas straight from our worst fears.  Shades of Gray is a colorful, rollicking ride from start to finish.”

— Franz Wisner, New York Times bestselling author of Honeymoon with My Brother and How the World Makes Love   http://www.HoneymoonWithMyBrother.com/

“Andy Holloman weaves a tale of intrigue in his novel Shades of Gray. His characters are multidimensional and find themselves in situations that challenge their own attitudes and goals. What starts out as decisions that seemingly make sense and can be rationalized, spin rapidly out of control.  The reader is taken on a bumpy, twisting ride through an increasingly sordid affair that can only guarantee heartbreak.  An excellent read.”   Kellianne Sweeney, Author of “The One That Got Away”

“An amazing story of twists, turns and surprises. I did not want to put it down and couldn’t wait to get back to the story. The author’s writing is so vivid, you see the people and the places but you can’t see what is to come in the end. I can’t wait for the next novel!” Dr. L. Lawry MD,MSPH,MSc

Shades of Gray is a strikingly original and deeply moving story with an astonishing twist at the end.  Andy Holloman renders brilliantly the tale of John Manning, a loving father and a reputable business man, whose incursion in the drug world fundamentally changes his life.  Holloman makes his debut as a novelist by taking both his characters and readers on a journey where they equally experience tenderness, frustration, pain and truth.  A raw, honest and captivating book that would make a great script for a movie!   A. “What an honour to have been given the opportunity to read an ARC of  Andy Holloman’s debut novel, Shades of Gray – and what a great read it was. I was so absorbed in what was going to happen I couldn’t put it down, so finished it in 2 days!!   The story takes us on the journey of John Manning, devoted Father, coping with the realities of life and finding himself in the unpredictable world of drugs.  Drawing on his own background, Andy delivers a thoughtful and at times heartbreaking thriller.  Fantastic read and a must for everyone’s reading list.”  S. 1. Franz Wisner says:

Bon voyage to Andy Holloman and the colorful journey within Shades of Gray!

  2. Hey Andy! Your mom has a unique sense of humor. When she said your book is a piece of CRAP, maybe what she was trying to say is that you are a fantastic novelist and she just couldn’t believe that her son is sooo talented. Maybe your mom only said that it’s piece-a-crap, but she’s your mother, I’m sure what she was trying to say is she is very proud of you as her son and the kind of writer you have become. I don’t even know you and never have met you personally, but if I were your sister like Laurel, (she was my fav character on the L word) I’d be happy and I’m proud of you. (I’m a wanna-be writer and actress… but I don’t think I can deliver the goods like your sister did in her films.) I wish your book will sell like hotcakes! I’m sure it will. It’s gonna be fantastic! I won’t say good luck since I don’t believe in luck, but instead I want to say GOD Bless your debut novel and more novels on the way to come.
