——————————————————————————————-

Now, here in NC, we are big pirate fans as Blackbeard himself frequented our coastal waters and was killed just off Ocracoke Island (great place to visit, btw).  East Carolina University’s (Greenville, NC) mascot is the Pirate (Arrr)…… And……. Krispy Kreme doughnuts is based in our fair state (Winston-Salem).

Maybe Sept. 19 should just be called  “Celebrate NC Day”.  Yeah !

That’s it.  Pirates and doughnuts.

Because (and I bet you didn’t know this)  Blackbeard was a huge fan of Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

(read this on the web, so I know it is true)

Arrrgh! Why are there no Krispy Kreme Donuts near me????? 😀

I told my kids this morning that tomorrow they could talk like a pirate all day. They said, “Do we have to?” Ha!
