For all of us first time, newly published writers, the world of book promotion and marketing is only slightly less daunting than the world of “book publishing”. So when I became connected with Melissa Foster and the folks at the WoMen’s Lit Cafe, I was hopeful that my new book would get a little attention. But boy, oh boy was I wrong. Thanks to the WLC, my book got ALOT of ATTENTION !! (and sales)
Melissa and her team at WLC take a group of writers and mixes them in together to do a promotion (primarily on Twitter) and thank goodness I was in this group. My group consisted of 9 mystery/thriller writers, all of whom were based in N. America. Even more important than the exposure that my book received was the comradery and bonding that occurred between the group members. I truly felt that i was a member of a real *team* in every sense of the word.
We cheered each other on, celebrated the successes, teased, cajoled, harassed, and just plain enjoyed each other. Funny how one can be a part of a team and never meet in person. But it worked, and even better than I could have imagined. It felt a little like going off to war and we were all members of the same platoon. (thank god no one was killed in battle!) So, here is my sincere shout out of gratitude to all my teammates. Links to their Amazon websites are posted beside their names.
Check them out. They are quality folks who are dedicated to their readers and their craft. (alphabetical order)

Andy, I was glad to be a part of this. It was a lot of fun, I learned a lot and got to know a great group of people better!
And hopefully found some new fans for my thriller! 🙂
Thanks, Andy, we enjoyed working with the entire launch team! Write on!
A true pleasure to be able to help you and all the other Mystery launch authors out! Thank you Andy for the shout out!
It was a lot of fun indeed, even if there were some Canadians in the group… Uh, scratch that last part. 🙂
WOW… nice to see you have good friends, this is a great help.
