In the beginning…

Posted: October 18, 2011 in Uncategorized

Once upon a time, there was a blog.  Everyone said “Hey, if your novel gets published, then you MUST have a BLOG!”       So I got one.

But they forgot to tell me what to write!!

So, I guess I’ll just make it up as I go along.  Bear with me.  It’ll get better.  I double pinky-swear.

FAQ’s –

Debut Novel –  Shades of Gray published by Triple J Press, to be released in early 2012.

Mediums – Ebook,  softcover, pdf,  more to come

Novel Rating –  Probably “R” for language.  Sorry – no gratuitous sex

Genre –  Thriller / Suspense

My Writing Experience –    Nothing published but I have been working at it since I was a wee, wee lad

  1. So glad you’ve decided to have a blog, Andy! Look forward to your posts.

  2. Wow, Andy… How can you state you don’t know what to write and then deliver the exquisite prose above!! Seriously, at least you got the thing started which is, well, a start. Don’t worry about what to write. Just go with what pops into your head. I believe you’ve dropped by my “Ramble On” blog in the past and have surely noted the variety of topics I deal with. For example, today’s post is “Peanuts: Tubers, Shellfish or ?”. Just have fun and give your readers a reason to visit your site. 🙂

  3. Well, Andy Holloman you’ve jumped into the lake with the big fish, and now you must keep swimming or become part of the food chain. You will learn not all blogs are not created equal, some are just plain awesomer than others…as I know yours will be. You are an amazing writer, and gosh darn it, an all around great person. Not only will people enjoy your BOOKS (because I know you’re worrkying (new coinage-worrying and working) on your next offering. in fact, we would love to hear the story about how you came to write the book debuting next year. Writers crave hearing about how other writers underwent the process… so spill it! All the best.

  4. Hey Andy, this is a great start!

I like the way you’ve been working on building your web presence, not only through the social media channels but also with this blog. I also love the shades of gray in the background. The book sounds really compelling and I’m waiting for it to read with anticipation. Don’t worry too much about the contents of this blog, it will grow in time. I will RT and share it through FB, Digg & StumbleUpon. Spreading the word always helps and getting people to know who you are before your book is out.

One question: on the Purchase Book page it says US shipping only. Will it be available internationally, too? Amazon? etc.

Thanks and keep up the great work. This is gonna be one hell of a ride! 🙂

  5. Ok, question answered. I didn’t read all of the info on international shipping. Will email you. 🙂

    Take care!

  6. Great to see that you’ve started your blog. As for topics, write about writing. Or maybe tell us about Triple J Press – is it the one in Niagara Falls? I think that company or hobby or whatever it is has a fascinating story to tell, setting lead type on an old Linotype machine … but I’m rambling on. Is that the company?

Or, write about blogs you like.

    I’ll check in soon!
